Part a - Literacy:
Consider having a School Improvement Goal related to literacy - serve on the SIP committee if possible to lead and get this goal established. Example goal from SIP plan: By May 2011, 100% of teachers will acheive proficiency in Standard III Section A of the teacher evaluation tool and 80% of teachers will achieve a rating of Accomplished or Distinguished. Then work with a team to develop ways your teachers can integrate literacy into their instruction.
